Officer Todd Bahr was killed in the line of duty 6/6/08. He was the former owner of Damaged Inc in Stafford, VA. He was a friendly guy living out his dream to be a full time officer.
Friday night's tragic chain of events has left the Fredericksburg Police Department coping with the loss of a fellow officer in the line of duty for the first time since 1964.
Yesterday, a deep sense of sadness pervaded the department's headquarters, which is a short walk away from where Officer Todd Bahr was shot and killed Friday night.
Police believe the man they say shot Bahr might have gone on to kill his former girlfriend had she not involved authorities.
A memorial service for Officer Todd Bahr will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Spotswood Baptist Church on Lafayette Boulevard.
A burial with police honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Covenant Funeral Service.
The family has asked that people give in his name to the Law Enforcement Memorial Fund. http://www.nleomf.com/
