Let’s get together and support President Bush AND meet the next Governor of NJ. A proud supporter of the 2nd Amendment!

Lonegan running for Governor and his position on CCW from his website (http://www.lonegan.com/lonegan/questions3.aspx?#13):

Go to this link BELOW guys and gals, join the NJCSD and fill some buses!!!!

    http://www.njcsd.org/board/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=21;t=2100

Change is finally coming to New Jersey!

It is with great enthusiasm that we bring to your attention news of a new candidate for Governor that not only supports RKBA, but also intends to make it a campaign issue!!!

Steve Lonegan has been Mayor of Bogota for some 10 years, proving that a strong fiscal and social conservative CAN beat the machinery politics of greed and corruption in New Jersey. For more information about Steve, please visit his website at www.lonegan.com which will tell you what almost all of us have been waiting to hear for a long time, now.

In the meantime, his campaign has extended a GENEROUS INVITATION for a FREE BUS TRIP to ATTEND THE BUSH "GET OUT THE VOTE" RALLY.

On October 31, George Bush is having a “Get Out The Vote†rally in Wildwood for exclusive invitees. Your 2005 Republican governor candidate Steve Lonegan has arranged to bring a selected number of his supporters to this fantastic event. Not only will you join Steve on this trip, but either President Bush or a key member of his staff will be there as well!

    My friend............

    davec,

If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything.

Who pooped in your Cheerios anyway?

At least this guy is trying to make some sort of a difference in this Commie state of ours.

Bitching about what is on his website (DID YOU READ HIS STANCES OR JUST LOOK AT THE PRETTY PICTURES?) and how it is set up doesn't effect the message he is trying to get across.

    Why don't you get involved?

Schundler HAD his chance and blew it..... Nice try and everything on his part but when confronted, he choked when it came to guns.

    I voted for him.

I'm sending Mayor Lonegan $100 (and probably more as the primary nears) and I encourage everyone on this board, who's so inclined, to send whatever you can (even if it's $5). His issue positions, track record and current path are truly inspiring. I don't even live in New Jersey and I recently swore off giving any campaign funds - until now.

Ray, thanks for posting the links that you did!

I hadn't known much about Mayor Lonegan until I took a look at his website. As a conservative Republican, I certainly like what I have read so far. That said, Lonegan is in for one hell of a fight--and that is just to get the GOP nomination. I can only imagine what the Asbury Park Press, the Star Ledger and the other leftist papers in the state will have to say about a pro-life Republican nominee that advocates legal concealed carry. I wish him luck! (And I say that as one who was/is slightly inclined to support Schundler once again.)

Thanks even more for posting the link to the www.njcsd.com site. It is refreshing to see other NJ residents who share my views on self-defense issues.
