So I was looking at getting a new field holster for my Blackhawk, I was looking at the galco SA option when a quick google search brought up Camp Curry leather on Etsy, he is making something quite similar to the galco option for this and the Alaskan rig and at around half the price that galco offers them for, now alot of his reviews are positive so I ordered one. Should be here late February, should be good to see if a holster can be made alot cheaper than what a "name" brand costs. here are some pics to compare to galco

Came in, first impressions are awesome, I still wonder how he was able to craft this kind of holster for much less than Galco and Diamond D command for VERY similar offerings. I took it on a 4 miles (I know not alot) hike and it rode extremely well. If youre looking for a single action holster that won't break the bank and still provide great carry ability then this is a great option

I would have never considered looking at Etsy for holsters. I believe I found a shoulder rig (Alaskan guide style) for my GP100.

Thanks for the update! It looks to be quite substantial and very well made.

It is, not great for concealment but I was able to to conceal most of but the tip under a long sleeve shirt.

I’ve been extremely happy with leather holsters off of Etsy, took a gamble on my first one for my Walther PPS, then bought another from the same guy for my 1911 commander. Different guy than the OP but same deal, heck of a holster for way less than a name brand.

Edit: just went and checked who made mine if anyone wants to check them out, it’s civdivdesigns on Etsy

I've ordered a couple of the MASC holsters (Turkish made) off Amazon and am very happy with these near-clones of Galco's premium revolver holsters.

I've seen the Camp Curry stuff on-line, it's great to have an actual buyer review, thanks!

Thanks for your write up on Camp Curry Leathers. Ordered one for a 3” 38 special SP101(French police buy back). Unbelievable in quality. Like you said, not the best for concealment but that it not it’s design. Due to shoulder issues I will be using it for cross draw only. I will be getting another for a GP100 soon.
