Rural Oklahoma is. Tulsa, where the poll is, is not. Tulsa is pretty elitist. Only their bodyguards should have firearms.

I hit the poll, and also went to the legislature's web site to read the bill.

It actually applies to anyone with a permit, not just students.

The problem with the way it is drafted is that colleges will try to continue to enforce their employment and student policies, and suspend or fire anyone who was caught carrying. At least you couldn't be arrested for it.

They've been fighting about this for years in Utah, and I'll have to read up on how it worked out there.

If you read the article on the site, it is horribly biased against.

There are several chapters of Students for Concealed Carry on Campus in Oklahoma, it yet appears no one was contacted to offer an opinion or statement.

Oklahoma is friendly, we have concealed carry, castle, and stand your ground laws, but are still restricted on open carry.

Oklahoma City is very gun friendly, one of the best shooting ranges that I know of is in OKC, and it is owned by Miles Hall, one of our greatest community leaders and just an all around great guy.

-chuckle- no, the main skill in news reporting seems to be able to lie and spin everything that you say so that it supports your own views.
