Criminals do not obey laws disarming people in universities. That's what makes them criminals. The very laws they break also ensure they are the only ones who have the means to harm others. It's simply giving the fox the key to the henhouse and acting astonished at the carnage. Giving those inside the ability to defend themselves would radically reduce the violence incurred by these criminals.

Concealed handgun permit holders have the lowest crime rate of any other segment of the U.S. population. Period, no disclaimers, no caveats. Do you really think they will suddenly change because they've chosen to get an education

Edit to add: my response hasn't shown up, I think I might have hit a glitch in the system. ?

it's all a matter of trust. if you live your life fearing that your neighbor will do you harm, then you don't want him to have a gun. if you believe that the average person is capable of making a good decision, then gun ownership for law abiding citizens is not a problem. (if you don't think the average person can make good decisions, then perhaps we should stop allowing them to vote.)

For some reason even in states like SD and now perhaps Idaho these bills get stalled.Hope they join Utah.
