Im looking for a good recoil reducing adjustable stock on my ak that i can also connect a sling or shoulder strap too. Im fairly new to the rifle world and this ak is my first... any insight would help.. Is a recoil reducing stock even work it? Mako makes a nice one and from what Ive been reading is better than tapco, but i dunno if i can attach a sling to it or how i would go about doing so...

I recently got the Mako, and I would recommend it. There are about 4 or 5 different locations on the stock to attach a sling, and the recoil reduction is great. Between the spring, the pad, and the adjustability, it makes a huge difference in my comfort and follow-up. Mako is the American distributor for Fab Defense, an Israeli company that has some interesting and well-built equipment.
Lastly, I threw a Houge grip on at the same time, and that makes a big difference as well.

If you're looking for recoil reduction, I'd get a brake. There are some pretty good brakes for both 14mm and 24mm threaded muzzles.

well anyway the stock is too short and not to sound like a ninny lol but ima small guy and could use a lil more control..

I like the K-Var stocks if you want it more original looking instead of sticking an AR style buttstock on an AK. I've used the Tapco and KVar and the kvar is way better. For recoil reduction you can get a small limbsaver grind to fit or an AK slip-on grenade launcher buttpad.
The NATO length is 1.25" longer than the standard length (warsaw)

1-point sling, brake, bayonet, and butt-pad

I bought these as a package from Cheap-Dirt, $35 about 2 yrs. ago. The single-point is a no-name, with a Velcro® wrap one-size that wraps around the wrist of the wooden stock, and has a double-adjustable length (on each end) sling. The brake install required a pin-punch, and it is the "Cutts Compensator" style, works VERY WELL The screw/glue attach butt-pad still allows access to the tool-kit in the stock. Turned this AK- into a very comfortable tool for offense or defense.
