Can I get a .357 SIG barrel for my .40 S&W Sig Sauer P239? What are the best makers?

Hi

I am looking for a .357 SIG barrel for my Sig Sauer P239. What maker/models are the best choice. Do I need to change out the springs because of the velocity differences?

Thanks!

Nah, the magazines are the same.

Get a Sig .357SiG barrel and you're ready to go with just a swap-out.

Nah, the magazines are the same.

Actually, the older .357SiG P239 magazines have pinched magazine lips. No problem shooting .357SiG from a 40S&W magazine, but you cannot load .40S&W into an older 357SiG P239 magazine. Each will be clearly marked with only one caliber if that is the case. I believe they have since addressed this issue...

Now, the P229 series - yes - they are all all the same...

Ask about a recoil spring when you buy the new SIG barrel. IIRC the .357 runs a couple pounds heavier spring.
