I was looking at buying a px9152lp Springfield, and I noticed how I have seen pictures of some with a "Geneseo IL, USA" marking and others with a "made in Brazil- IMBEL" marking. I know it probably doesn't effect the workings of the gun or the reliability, but is it possible to special order one to my local gun shop that has the "USA" marking? call me old fashioned, but even if the whole thing was not made in the US, I'd like to have the illusion that it was. it makes me feel like a better American.

any thoughts are appreciated

all Springfield frames and slides are produced in Brazil. the higher end guns have more than 50% of their finish machining and assembly done in the US and can be marked as such...all you need to do is order a more expensive model

Don't worry

Buy a holster that covers who and where it was made.
If you shoot in a crowd, shoot fast and knowbody will notice.

My Springer 1911 has never had to deal with this problem. I'm like six out of six in our local single stack match.

If your wearing China built shoes, Pakistanis socks and Bangaladesh pants with vietnam underwear shooting russian primers, do you think anyone really cares?
Where was you vehicle made?
