Just a suggestion here. If you have a smart phone, there are a number of free apps that can be downloaded that have CC reciprocity maps, and gun laws by state. I find it useful. The one I use is simply called CCW, and it allows you to choose your permits, and it generates a map for you. You can also look at required disclosure laws, and prohibited areas by state. I have found it very useful, especially when traveling.

NY has no reciprocity with any state, so your NY permit gains you nothing in NH.

Kind of.

Send them a copy of your carry permit, $100, and their nonresident carry license application form. This will get you a NH Carry permit good for 4 years. As a bonus, it will let you carry in 6 other states as well according to USACarry. This includes PA.

NY does not recognize any other state permit nor does any other state recognize NY's. The only way to carry in NH is to get a non-resident permit.

People should use this website, which is chockfull of up-to-date handgun info:
http://www.handgunlaw.us/
There, we find that VT does honor a NY permit. In fact, VT honors all other states' permits. A bunch of others also honor NY, even though there is NO reciprocity from NY. Bad news: NH does not honor NY.
Hope this helps keep someone out of jail, and frees up others who just don't know.

Vermont doesn't recognize the legality of needing a permit. Any US citizen who can legally posses a firearm, whether they have a permit or not, can carry concealed.

Makes me wonder why I moved away from there.

Standard disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer, so do your homework. Don't quote me.

Missouri recognizes permits issued by any other state or political subdivision. Some others do also.

Arizona also recognizes all other states carry permits. But it’s a moot point since AZ became a Constitutional carry state a few years ago.
