Help!
I keep getting conflicting information.

I have a full carry NY, CT, FL, NH.

I live in NJ. Yes I know that my Fl permits grants me PA CCW. I have a NJ FOID.

I applied to Centre County PA and they told me because I do not have a NJ CCW I am not eligible for a PA non-Resident CCW; further they say just use your FL. That said, I still would like a PA permit. Talking to other they say try another county.

Any help would be appreciated.

PA law states that they can only issue a non-resident LTCF to someone who already possesses a carry permit from their home state - if their home state issues permits.

That means that a resident of Illinois or Wisconsin can apply for and get a PA non-res LTCF, because those states do not issue carry permits. You, as a NJ resident, can not - because NJ law provides for the issuance of a carry permit. The fact that practically no one can obtain one means nothing.

You're wasting your time trying to apply in other counties - the answer will be the same.

Tom488, I didn't know that about PA law/guidelines for obtaining a permit. I have a permit in TN will allows me to carry in PA if I choose. Centre County is generally the county to get the permit as I have heard it is hassle free.

Like they said, just use your FL permit.

If you do not have a license from your home state, PA will not issue you a non-resident license.

I was told that the NJ FOID may work with some counties.
Thank you all for accurate information.

You have CCW permits (FL) that have reciprocal agreements with multiple jurisdictions (PA). There is no need to have permits that will duplicate your abilities.

You have a NJ driver's license...are you applying for a PA driver's license too?? I think not. As the saying goes, keep it simple stupid.
