Can you help me ID this revolver?

This looks like a fairly nice S&W .38, but exactly what model is it, what's the CTG designation?

Any information appreciated.

"CTG" is merely an abbreviation of "cartridge." That looks like a Model 10 in .38 Special.

Yep, appears to be a 70s or 80s vintage Model 10 in a high grade. Though on a negative note, I notice about this seller:

1) they are running about 90% positive feedback - awfully low for a gun dealer
2) They charge $60 shipping (costs $15 tops for an FFL to ship a gun USPS anywhere in the country)
3) They didn't disclose the barrel condition, and didn't even know how to measure the barrel length (they are off by 3/4").

Not the most stand-up seller credentials, I must say. The gun is worth $300/325 I'd say. So with the shipping, your transfer fee, etc., even at the current price your overpaying by $25, unfortunately.

Yep this joint is a no go, they are just around the corner and are very hard to deal with, I had one transaction and it was a rather miserable situation service wise on their part, treated you like a jail bird.
hey gotta be better deals out there and dealers to boot.
