Can you tape wrap a mLok rail?

I prefer round knurled aluminum free float tubes. If I need to mount anything on a forearm, which is rare, I just drill and tap, with a lock nut on the inside. I carry an AR without a sling, in my hand, out of many decades of habit.
You don’t run around with your AR much, or don’t need to get hands on or climbing much. ;) To me a sling is like a holster

I agree, tape is just not pratical at all, it heats up with the firearm, softnes the glueand allow the tape to move, then when it dries its misaligned, and wash and repeat. eventually tou end up having to redo it all while having glue residue all over everything.

If you can swing $15-$30 you should just order some Mlok Panels. Their are probably 100+ different inserts to choose from, surely you would find one that suits your fancy. I'm all about using tape on things, used to even have a duct tape wallet, but for my carbine I'd probably treat myself.....

Instead of buying more stuff to cover up the features machined into the hand guard, why not just get one that is made how you want it to feel?

Because no one makes a rubber-covered or stippled M-Lok handguard? {shrug}

Just go full bore bubba and wrap it with electrical tape from Harbor Freight. It's black so it will fit right in.
If it’s tape from Hazard Fraught Tools…it’ll start to peel off in about an hour :(

Love the hard gun cases…can’t stand the tools, zip ties, tape, etc.

Stay safe.

Horrible Fright electrical tape seems to stay stuck about as well as Scotch 88 for me. The end starts lifting pretty quick on either. Never, ever, buy drill bits, sand paper, punches, or wood working tools there. I do like their metal chop saw blades. They wear fast but they cut fast and don't glaze over like some of the more expensive ones do. The cost seems to equal out between the two. I agree about their hard cases.
