My FiL wanted one of these for quite a while. I had an opportunity to get one for super cheap and went for it. The weather here has been terrible for several weeks, and I only like to shoot at the outdoor range. I finally got to try it out today...

Dang! It is a fabulous shooter. I am older, don't see very well, and my hands tremble due to my meds. At seven yards standing, I had about a half dozen fliers. The rest of the box of 50 just tore a big hole in the center of the target. I'm not good enough to put them all in one hole, but I have fun trying to tear the middle of the target out.

I had zero malfunctions. The larger grips fit my XXL hands very well. The sights are nice and big. I really like the trigger. It has some slack take-up, but after that it is short and crisp. The sights are drift adjustable. Mine shoots a little low and a little to the right (for me), but I can easily adjust my hold for that.

If you can get one of these for cheap, they have my stamp of approval. Mine looks and feels like a quality firearm and for me is a very good shooter. As I get more used to it, no doubt it will do even better.

I've got one, and despite myself, I really like it.
It has a pretty good trigger, fits my hand and shoots where it points.

I have the TP9v2. Possibly the most accurate handgun I own. Great SA trigger and DA gives me peace of mind when carrying aiwb.

I desperately want to get rid of it because its an odball with few holsters but its a hell of a gun and nothing else out there like it.

It's a pretty close copy of a Walther P99, IIRC. I somehow won it on GB for a $199 bid. It came in the box with the extra mag and extra grip. The roll pin that held the grip in was hard to knock out; that is my only complaint. After I shot it, I left it at my Fil's house so he could admire it until we go shooting together later this week. After he shoots it I imagine he will start stalking them on GB.

I am more of a revolver guy, but I have owned and/or shot a LOT of full-sized service pistols. I prefer the steel (or at least metal) framed ones. As far as polymer service pistols go, there isn't one that I prefer by a lot to the TP9. As far as I'm concerned, it's competitive with anything in its class.

Friend of mine talked me into getting a tp9sfx, and it's such an easy gun to shoot I'm almost confident with it lol. Haven't handled a regular tp9 yet, but if I got a deal on one I'd grab it.

Nice! Seems like a lot of people really like these guns. I hope they keep offering more models and variations. It seems like there are about 6-8 different format/models for the TP9 pistols. They even have one specifically with a threaded barrel for a suppressor and special sights.

One thing I can not figure out is that so many people say they come poorly sighted from the factory. Both YouTube and chat groups are filled with people whose one reservation is that the gun shoots low and left by a few inches.

Maybe I am missing them, but I have not seen reviews of any other pistol that so consistently comes from the factory poorly sighted in. In contrast, I have personally owned or shot out of the box 8 Walther PPQs and not a one of them was badly sighted in from the factory. I even called the American importer of these and asked and they said in an email that this was a very common complaint. Maybe they will eventually offer a target sight.

Anyway, back on track..... Sounds like you have a nice pistol. Enjoy!!

Mine shoots low, but is otherwise in line. If you center hold it hits right under the front sight.
The sfx comes with Warren sights tho.

Witness polys tend to shoot low as well.

I've been shooting a sfx model for about 8 months now and have nothing but praise for the pistol. Mine came with a reflex sight and an extra threaded barrel. Can't believe how much I love the sight. I traded another gun I didn't care for much for the canik. Good trade IMO.
