Are these available anywhere? "Century is currently aiming for a March 2016 release"

Anyone know which brands red dot is will accept?

Looks like a cheap way to get a 9MM set up to take a low mounted red dot. For plinking with old eyes you know.

And I guess the other question is who will mill XDm slides to accept a red dot? Since I have an XDm in 9MM already.

Thanks

I bet James at xdman.com would do an outstanding job for a reasonable price.

Looks interesting, but with the long barrel and slide lightening this looks more geared towards competition. Canik still has yet to get any of their handguns approved for USPSA production.

If they had I'd probably have at least tried a TP9-SA by now (and this one looks even better).

I don't care if it is approved for USPSA etc, it will just be for fun at the range, but that is a good point. I would think they have thought of that, and think it will be, or at least meets specs.

Interesting. The OP's supplied link, the TP9V2 appears to have a decocker. Mine does not, nor have I seen any advertised with a decocker. If this is a new move by Canick, it's a mistake IMO.

Sure you don't have the TP9SF? The V2 is a DA/SA gun. A decocker is quite logical there and all images I've seen show the V2 with one.

The TP9V2 certainly does have a decocker. It is copying the P99 AS.

Decocks single action to double action.

Man, I am going senile early. I went to the safe to take a picture of my TP9 V2 and yes... to my chagrin, it indeed has a decocker.
I should know that well enough considering the reviews I wrote on both the Canik TP9SA and later the TP9V2.

It was the DA/SA trigger that sold me on the V2, not the absence of a decocker. Oy

I wanted the TP9 SF but ...........

Well I went and handled a TP9 again and was about to set my mind on getting the TP9 SF , but I waited. I went home and sent Century Arms an email regarding spare parts . They are not selling parts at all at this time. So I am just sticking to Glock strictly for now. I know the gun could be sent to the factory for warranty if it breaks or something , but I just like having a surplus of parts available to order if I need something like with my GLock and 1911 . Too bad cause I really wanted this gun , the TP9 SF , but if parts can not easily be found then screw it . Here's their response to me email regarding parts availability ...............

Thank You for contacting Century Arms...we do not have any information in regards to selling parts at this time.
Sincerely,
Customer Service

Parts availability and selling spare parts are two different things. There is a tp9 facebook page that century customer service reps and service dept reps hang out. Simply posting there can get parts, it happens frequently. The service provided on these pistols is fantastic. There are plenty of spare parts available for them.

Thanks for that insight guys.

So, anyone know where an SFx can be purchased?

That and the need for spare parts is greatly exaggerated iMHO. I've been shooting handguns for 14 years now. After dozens of handguns and tens of thousands of rounds I've had exactly two parts fail.

Both I was able to source and replace, but if I hadn't, I'd just sell the gun with note of the broken part and move on. You won't take THAT big of a hit on the sale, and I'd wager the hit you DO take will be less than what a random assortment of spare parts (seeing as you'd never know WHICH part might fail) would cost.

I cannot find any sfx for sale on the web ? Could anyone tell me how to purchase one ?

Also, the lifetime factory warranty means if a part breaks you'll be able to send it in and have it fixed cheap. If a minor part breaks they will most likely send it to you.

That's how every warranty I've ever had worked.
