My Canik is almost exactly one year old. I have fired approximately 1200- 1500 rds through it. I have put 9MM ammo from all over the world, as well as, just about every American brand without a single failure of any kind. The handgun shows no wear at all except for the safety plunger spring which started to cause some grittyness in the trigger travel before the break. About two weeks ago I replaced the stock spring with a SPRINCO (9 bucks) and now is smoother than ever. With very minimal recoil and an outstanding trigger, its a joy to shoot and is extremely accurate. A few months ago I put on a HOLOSOM 407K red dot, which has made it even easier to be more accurate. With the red dot, I look like a real pro (LOL). This $500 firearm has gone way above my expectations and has become my favorite 9MM handgun to shoot.
PS- About 8 months ago I purchased a CANIK TP9SFX. Looks like I'll be doing the same I yr write up for it as well. Amazing firearms.
