Greetings,
I feel a bit akward about this, but there's not much I can do about it. I contacted the Bakers (Svord owners) to get a quote on the Gent Peasant knives, which are a 2" metal-handled version of the Peasant.
They stated that the GPK has been discontinued. They have a stockpile of the GPK blades to use for other products, but are no longer set up to make the steel scales for the GPK.
Do bear in mind, you can still get good prices on individual Svord knives from the Bakers, and slow-boat shipping (1mo or so) is only around $6 per knife.
Since they have those sweet convex-grind carbon-steel blades for the GPK, you might be able to get them to put some wooden scales on for you, sell you just the blade so you can make your own scales, or even get exotic scales for the GPK from them.
I know they've used the GPK blades installed into Red Stag antler tips, and those look great. I'm almost tempted to just get a cute little stag-handle friction-folder Svord.
So, they can work you up some individual deals and custom pieces, but a Group Buy isn't possible at this time.
