Both like 69 grain Sierras and 75 grain Hornadys. The flat top holds about 3/4 MOA for 5 shots, sometimes getting down to the 1/2 MOA range. The other is an A2 so I am not sure what it is capable of due to the iron sights, but 5 shot MOA groups are not uncommon, until my eye gets tired. Even my chrome-lined RRA HBAR (1:9 twist) will do that.
try some smaller 55g flat based bullets with 21.5-22 grains of h322.
are you throwing the full charge or are you throwing light and trickling?
i started using h322 because it was thrifty for an extruded powder (21grns vs 25-26grns of most other stick powders),,,,, and found my barrels like the 322 considerably better than even varget for light bullets like 55's and 60's.
i also always throw light with varget and trickle up to weight because my measure hates it, but i just throw the charge with 322, and benchmark because the cut is so much shorter (but then again, i have the cheapest case actuated measure in the universe so that might have something to do with it)
you just never know what your rifle is gonna like and what its gonna hate i guess
my 20" no name non floated 1-9 likes the sierra 60hp with TAC also
Tried the 69gr SMK's with no luck in that rifle & my 1-7 CMMG M4 14.7" clone.
I just got some AR-Comp (Alliant) to try if it works, I will give you a heads up
