It's a $20 Don Hume left handed belt slide holster in black leather. This allows me to use it with any of my 1911's. I mounted it with a 1.5" piece of 1/8" thick aluminum flat stock which I painted black. I used 1/4" bolts and washers to get the right spacing. I'll replace the washers with some plastic spacers later. And before anyone asks the bolt heads are black now and i removed the marker from the console. The holster holds the 1911's firmly and the mount doesn't flex or let them move around one bit. I can easily draw it from a seated position yet you cannot tell from the outside where it is when I'm seated. BTW, the truck is a '00 Silverado.

Nice mounting. Very easy to get to!

I installed a Ace Car Holster from the same site as Smart Carry that is a velcro holster loop side with a pull through velcro closure with a coresponding double sided hook pad for the car side mounting. I have placed them in 2 of the three cars and I'm even thinking of mounting it on the bed also with extra pads they sell.

Here is a link. http://www.smartcarry.com/products.htm
