Took some time to shoot pics of my Caracal today.

The Caracal is not exactly what I'd call photogenic. It's hard to get it to look nice in photos with the near non-descript look and lack of interesting textures on the gun. It took a bit of lighting setup and composition to get it to look appealing to me visually.

Here are a couple of images. The images were shot with a Nikon DSLR with a 50mm lens and 2 studio strobes.

Just some notes:

Yes, clicking the images will take you to my blog where I have more pics.
No, I am not forcing you to click.
No, I am not harvesting your click for advertising. There is no advertising on my blog. I don't make money from the blog. I will keep most of the content in my blog because I like to have my reports and posts accessible from various forums and I really like to control how the page looks.

Feel free to post more images of Caracals on this thread. I do request that the images be ones you took or ones you own copyright to.

Nice pics and blog! Do they all come with 4 mags? At my LGS, he has quite a few. I decided on the C model because it fits my smallish hands better and with the Quick sites. I want to try it in IDPA. I normally shoot a glock 19. I also like the trigger.

Not sure if they all come with 4. When I picked up mine, there were the pistol, 4 mags, manual, case and a holster.

No cleaning brush nor mag loader. Not really an issue for me as I already have brushes and an Uplula loader.

When I put mine on layaway, I asked to see what came in the box. The only thing it came with was 2 mags, box, manual, and a gunlock. I asked him to open the other boxes, and they all had the same thing.

mine didn't have a gun lock...

there are different packages here... another package came in a larger case which comes with a shoulder stock, tactical grip, some blue dummy magazine and magazine loader but no holster and only 3 magazines...

Layaway is when you put some money down on it and they will hold it for you until you pay it off. They take it out of the display case, and will usually hold it for 90 days, same as cash. No interest is charged. There is this other LGS that I know of that has a very liberal layaway policy. As long as you pay something a month, they will hold it as long as it takes for you to pay it off.

I will trade you my gunlock for one of your magazines!

interesting (the layaway, i mean)... here we have to pay cash outright for a gun...

most shops only keep disabled pistols on display (some have live ones but for demo purposes only)... most of the guns are warehoused at the national police hq... when someone purchases a pistol, it gets licensed to him/her... then the pistol is delivered from the police hq to the gun store...

That's terrible that you have to live in an anti-gun oppressive place like that. I feel for you!

anti-gun sentiment runs strong here...

nevermind that guns cost a hell of a lot more... where you guys are talking US$350-500 for a gun, those pistols would cost upward of US$1,000...
