Carrying with loaded chamber

Another thing people overlook is how your body will react to an attack. With your blood rushing and your body releasing all those chemicals ...... your ability to work a small-mechanical device is limited. You don't want to think about how to get the gun working ... you want to have the gun ready and think about if you should shoot.

If your gun has a safety, you should practice sweeping it off as you draw. If you don't and it is accidentally engaged, then you wind up in the situation you outlined above. The gun won't shoot -- and you have to stop and think why.

But if you automatically sweep it off as you draw -- whether it's engaged or not -- you won't have that problem. And it won't cost you a milisecond of time, because you sweep it off as you draw.

Yes you can train with a safety but to do it properly... your going to need to practice atleast 2-3 thousand times of pulling out the gun.

You're going to need to practice your draw 2 to 3 thousand times anyway. There was a video shown here not so long ago of a stickup artist who didn't practice -- he drew and lost his grip on the gun, and basically tossed it to his victim.
