My son just brought up a point to me I thought I would share:
Many cartridges are named for something fearsome; .577 Tyranosaur, .349 Warbird, .41 Avenger, and so on.
How come there's never a .286 Lambykins?
I personally think WW would have avoided a great deal of angry publicity if, instead of Black Talon, they had anodized the jackets pink and called the ammo "Daisy Petal".
And on the subject, why do all the new rounds have three significant numbers? For instance, I would have called the ".300 Whisper" the ".3 whisper" (lower case intentional.) I mean, it is a little dinky round, right?
Just some rambling and light-hearted thoughts at about midnight.
