I don't load rimfire or shotshells, except I did buy some 410 brass and CH4D dies to load for a 410 / .45 Colt Contender barrel. And I have a mold for at least one bullet for every caliber I load. Except 9mm MAK, got to order one when they become available.

They must love you at camp! “Here come AgPilot with a rusty case of SKS… guess we could start a fire with our tags”
That’s one of Our bad habits at the camp. We all have SKS’s and all bring a case of bullets to shoot up. Talk about fun!!!!
Any dryers or toilets etc. those babies don’t have a chance around Us!!!
Deer hunting takes a backseat to the SKS Shoot!

Casting homemade Makarov bullets? Here I am trying to be the most eccentric guy in the forum, and you just crushed my campaign

Remind me of out buddies deer lease in NC, we have 3 towers, feeders, dozen trail cams. Beautiful Pine land. Opening day… 8 of the best buds and their buds. Yeah, deer said nope, rather hang witj the cyotes

I'll buy new factory ammo to replace hard to find brass on the range. Like 32 sw long in my case. I also buy tulla 7.62x54r. Because it's very accurate in my Mosin. I do also reload for it too. For play rounds. They are close enough to shoot steel. If i want to be precise then i break out the tulla ammo.

7.7 Japanese and 5.7 x 28 because it's hard to find
30-06 because it's expensive
9mm because a pound of powder lasts a loooong time
Haven't loaded shotshells in years. The days of shooting several cases of clays in a day are over., so I just buy them.

I don't think Jeff would be disappointed, he was pretty eccentric for his time too.
Well, jus' tryin' ta be prepared . . .
Lee makes one, Manufacturer #: 90466, 365-95-1R 9mm Makarov, $29 from Midway:

The brass and bullets are on the reloading bench though!

I do need reloading dies for 7.62x39 also, I already have boollit molds that will work.
I have dies for 7.62x54R
Don't have anything for the Tokarev, though I probably have a cast boolit mold that might work. No dies, brass or pistol though. Its not as common as the surplus Makarovs though.
I bet I could use a .311 .32ACP cast boolit, that would work. Anybody done that before?

I will be doing that when I finish up my last boxes of Tok ammo. But with coated bullets. I’ll let the board know how it goes

It took me for forever to find brass for 7.7 and 5.6x28….

But, I found them!!!!!! I have the Dies too. ready to roll

I tried the Meister hard cast .312” 115gr RNFP - same bullet I use for.32-20, .32H&R, etc. - and was fine in the TT-33 but choked bad in the CZ-52. FTF mostly but it really seems like the tighter chamber was a problem. They plunked fine but would not feed from the magazines.
Anyhoo, I give up on it and just shoot milsurp in both. I am still working my way through the cases I bought pre-Y2K.

I load for every revolver and rifle and single shot (T/C). I buy bulk 9mm/40/45ACP/22LR and shot shells for the scatter guns.

Since one rarely goes to the range for a dozen or so shots, if it’s a large quantity of rounds I want to send down range, I try to source it in bulk.

With my interests, commercial ammo in the loading I desire is close to non-existant.
6.5x55mm ammo is available, but not in the same loading as WW1. Most offerings are WW2 load - usually with soft point ammo - or out and out hunting loads. The small amount of surplus left is all berdan primed.
Same with much other ammunition from WWI, including 8x57mm and .30-06 Springfield. 6.5x53.5mmR just isn't made in any form.

One the other hand, most all the .45 ACP I shoot is for practice, so 'hardball' is easier to buy (or was) than the boredom of cranking a handle for ten or twelve hours. As is .38 special, 9x19mm and .32 ACP (old guns).

Rimfire of course.

Well, of late, I shoot mostly nothing but handloads in .327 Fed Mag, .44 Special, and .32 acp, primarily because factory ammo is either nonexistent, outrageously priced or just not the load/bullet type I want.

Before The Panic started I'd still occasionally buy .38/.357, 9mm, .45acp if the price was good, but of course that's gone by the way this last year and a half. I can load any of the rifle calibers I own, but I haven't shot much rifle in a while. It's hard enough to find time to shoot handguns.

I don't buy factory ammo much anymore. I bought some 327 Federal ammo for a Henry lever action carbine, but that's about it.

I load for everything else except 22 LR. 32 H&R mag, 327 Fed Mag, 30-30 Win, 308 Win, 338-06, 9mm, 9x23 Win, 38 Spl/357 Mag, 41 Spl/Mag, 44 Spl/Mag, 45 Colt and 480 Ruger. Some of my guns have never seen a factory round. Some have never seen a factory bullet.
