Does anyone know where I could get a case colored steel buttplate made for my cz 452? I want to try and get the trigger guard stripped and case colored as well.

there are a couple of people who do color case hardening that advertise on gunbroker.
wind river also does color case hardening.
for buttplates there are lots of ways to go. i've seen several winchester model 70 buttplates that were smoothed out & color cased that looked good.
biesen's makes some very nice buttplates too.
dakota's buttplates are high dollar but they also come with oversize screw heads so you can time the screws.
i had a link to a guy who made custom butplates but i can't find it right now

First understand there's two different processes.

Case color hardening

Case color

The first is the actual case hardening process that will increase surface hardness about .01-.015 deep.

The second is newer and gives the appearance of the above. Much less heat is used and this means less warpage. (better for most applications)

The Mac brothers in Sturgis, SD do it out at the industrial park. I can't recall the official name of their shop but if you contact Marty at Badger ordnance he can provide their number. I've seen their stuff and it looks very nice.

Good luck.
