Which one these two knives you think are the better made knife? I think they both are very good knives. My friend think it's Buck 110,I say even one isn't better than the other. 15421041_1186591698086237_3409735080411337404_n_zpsuup7lqmg.jpg 26220086_1578176695594400_1006017718660751119_n.jpg

I have a couple real nice xx case knives. They cost so much it scares me to carry them. I have used and abused maybe 4 110 bucks in my life. I can tell you the latter seems to be made as well as they ever were. Case is obvious quality. So I can’t honestly compare them. Nor say I prefer one over the other. But one becomes a safe queen.

I have both of these knives, and the Case will hold a better edge, a little longer. I like both of them as a general purpose locking knife and can honestly say, you won't be disappointed either way.

Kinda a Remington/Mossberg thing. The 870 was first, but the 500 does things a bit different.

I would go with the 110 purely because it has been the work knife of choice for my dad going on 40 years. He's carried one of some kind or other every day. From the days when a 110 was THE biker knife all the way to today where it's mostly used to cut plastic drain pipe and tape at work.

I can't look at a 110 and not think of my old man.

I have the same kinda thing but with Cold Steel folders, hope my little one thinks of the buck 110 and me.

Back in the day both were good and about the same. Throw in the very similar Uncle Henry too. But there are too many better options, with better steel today. I still have a Buck and Uncle Henry, but they have been retired from active duty.

I say the 110 because it just fits good in my hand and I think it holds a good edge . I will admit that I have zero experience with that Case knife though . I have 3 or 4 Buck 110's . I bought 2 about 10 years ago when I saw them on sale for $19.99 at basspro and after my dad died , I got his old 110 . I carry my Buck 112 more for a everyday knife , I like it's smaller size , but I like the 110 better for skinning deer .

I've got a '90s Buck 110FG (Finger Groove) and a '80s Case Hammerhead. Both can be made very sharp and built very solidly, but the ergonomics on the Buck are better in my opinion.

My Dad took two pocket knives with him to Vietnam. A Buck and a Case. To this day he insists that Case are junk and Buck are excellent.

Reason? The Case rusted like crazy, but the Buck didn't. However, what he didn't take into account, and I can't change his mind, is the fact that the Buck was stainless and the Case was CV.

I have, and enjoy, both Buck and Case, but in my opinion nothing takes and holds an edge like a Case CV. You do have to "season" them first, but once done and wiped down from time to time a Case CV knife will give many years of hard service.
