I am looking for a source of cast roundnose .452" bullets - moly coated would be nice - that are the actual profile of the USGI hardball FMJ.

All I can find have a short hemispherical nose and load to about 1.250" OAL instead of the eliptical nose and OAL of 1.265 that I use for FMJ.

The usual mold seems to be the Magma 45-230-BB.

What I need is the Magma 45-233-BB or the Ballisticast 634 which are based on the old H&G No 34 and are closer to GI. Like I said, moly coated would be preferable to wax lubed.

I find bullet casting to be drudgery and do it only for odd calibers I cannot buy bullets for.
No Lee for me.

I have a STI build that is very finicky about bullet shape. I will try some of the usual stuff before I give up on cast and pay for FMJ.
