My neighbor/friend casts for a 45-70 and told me to buy whatever mold and he'd help me.
I choose a .310 247 NOE for starting.
The powder coat bullet design makes them fall from the mold like rain.
I'll be separating and coating them this week.
Up next is a 210sp and a .358 200fn.

Yup I get the heavy thing.

But I do run a lot of my cast bullets @ jacketed bullet speeds or faster.

Subsonic for a bo is 1 thing. Calling nasa to figure out the drops is another.

I have a ladder sight. It'll be fun;)

Here's the pile of good ones. Separated 250-251 gr.
There were 23 that weighed in between 249.9 and 249.0.
14 got rejected for deformities on the base.

Not seeing lube grooves. Are you paper patching?
I plan on powder coating.
The smooth side is supposed to fill out better.
I figured I'm a newbie. So I may as well stack the odds in my favor.

I figured out acetone and powder coat gives a heavy, uneven coating.
Every where near me is sold out of air soft BBS. So I tried tumbling the next batch. It gives a light coating that can't be scratched with my thumb nail. So I'm going to try them.

I use Eastwood Light Blue (used to be Ford Blue) swirled in cool whip container.
it turns out nicely and does a nice one pass coat
turns out like a candy coat after the toaster oven
