Went to the range today to test out three 40S&W loads in the CZ75B. All loads used mixed brass, R-P #5 1/5 primers, and 5.3gr of Green Dot topped with either the MBC 170gr SWC, the Kead 170gr SWC, or the Kead 180gr TC. The OAL for all three loads was set at 1.125"-1.130", and I used a light taper crimp. I made a batch of 100rds of each load, and I shot all three batches.
All three bullet shapes fed flawlessly and gave fine performance. I had one (1) premature slide lock occur on the last round of a string but this gun has done that before using factory FMJ (and I have yet to dress down the slide stop lug to reduce it's width). The only thing noteworthy is that the powder charge is pretty stout and I'll probably back it down to 5gr; I saw no leading issues but when fired back to back with Blazer Brass FMJ my handloads were actually snappier.
Anyway, that answers my questions - the CZ75B 40S&W seems to be fairly tolerant of a variety of bullet profiles (truncated cone and SWC) both in terms of feeding and chambering.
(Oh, and one more shout-out to MBC for sending me the sample pack that I used for this little test.)
