CCI BR-4 Tiny B stamped on primer

Never used bench rest primers this may be the norm.
Got hold of some old cci br-4 small rifle primers from JC Penney with a price tag of $1.15 per sleeve while seating i noticed what i thought was a dent turns out its a tiny B stamped on the face of the cup. Any idea how old? And is the B still stamped in today?.

Yep, they still do it. I've only been using them for 12-14 years but they've been doing it at least that long

The last ten years or so they have ... or as long as I remember buying bench rest primers ... never bought that many until they were the only ones available to purchase ...

As far as I know the BR-2 and BR-4 still have the tiny B stamped on them and it has been there at least 25 years that I am aware of.

So the primers were in a lot I got wrapped in newspapers 5DEC76 Thats near 40 years old and work like new.
