CCI CB Cap recall at Walmart??

A friend just called me to say he was at both Walmart stores here today trying to buy CCI .22 Short CB Caps for his 1890 Winchester.

They have 20 boxes in stock at one store and 24 at the other.
But they told him there was a recall and they can't sell them?

I have searched the web for any indication of a CCI recall and find nothing.

Anyone seen any info on this anywhere?

I read on RimfireCentral that a guy bought a box and found MiniMags or Stingers in the wrong marked box when he got home.

Well, my friend went back to Wallyworld again, and got a different story the second time.

The second guy said the 20 boxs of CB Caps showing on the computer scan were actually not in stock due to a computer inventory error.

So, who knows what is going on at Wallyworld?

Only Sam's ghost knows!
