ccw at disney world

So, lets test it. Let someone who posted here that they can carry with no problem, do so. Of course the test is to show them your gun "in the park". Let's see what happens. It's called the Scientific Model. Experimentation and Observation. Enough with what everyone thinks.

Let's not. Concealed is concealed. Open carrying in a theme park with thousands of children is just not kosher.

This thread is going nowhere...It is not against state law to carry in Disney, that is established and that was the issue. Now if you get caught breaking their rule they are going to
kick you out and give you a hard time. What else is there to say?

How about some respect for the wishes of Disney as the owner of the property on which you are a guest? You expect people to follow your rules when they are on your property, don't you?
Disney World is private property. Going there is neither mandatory, nor a right. Stay away from Disney World if you have a problem with their no-gun policy.

well in florida, ccw is controlled by the Florida Dept of Agriculture...the same people who control licensing for amusement park rides...check with them

The point I am trying to make is that there are rights of private landowners, just like you and I, to prohibit carry onto private property, mine, without the express permission of the landowner. Unless there is signage to prohibit it stated under Florida State Law, you're OK until they, the landowner or respresntitive, sees you and asks you to leave or most likely call the police. If you refuse you can be charged for trespassing. Be aware that responding officers have NO IDEA what you are up to and may see you as the intruder/threat and treat you accordingly, until you go to the station, yada yada yada. Great way to enjoy a vacation.

Gotta agree with tkaction on this one.

All the OP asked was this:
Are there any rules/restrictions about carrying concealed on the disney property?

He now clearly knows that Disney has rules/restrictions and what those are. And he should, by now, clearly understand FL's laws on the matter as well.

He has to follow the law (well, from a THR perspective anyway) and he may choose to follow Disney's rules as well -- or not -- with a full understanding of the consequences either way.

Asked and answered.

More on Disney...

Guys - - -

I've carried into Disney several times, but i don't do it so much any more.

Here's some things you out-of-staters should be aware of concerning Florida trespass law:

If you are asked to leave an establishment for any reason, and you refuse, you are guilty of trespass.

If you are ARMED and you refuse to leave, you are guilty of aggravated trespass, a FELONY.

If Disney discovers that you are armed, they will not only ask you to leave (and you sure better do that, without debate or delay), but they may also ban you from entering their parks forever.

Disney tickets are linked to you via fingerprints, which you have to supply when you enter the park. If you are banned from the park, and try to enter anyway, even by adopting some new identify, you may very well be discovered. If you did, in fact, fake a new identy, then you're combining fraud with trespass, and (I may be wrong here) that may also be considered aggravated trespass, which as I said, is a felony.

You may, however, keep your firearm in your car in the Disney parking lots. Florida's "parking lot" law allows both employees and customers to keep firearms in their cars while on company property. This is the compromise I've adopted.

Why compromise? Because my normal carry techniques can "print" under certain conditions, and I don't want the outline of a J-frame in my pocket to show when some ride attendant is checking to be sure I'm strapped in. Also, when the weather gets hot, I sweat a lot, and that can reveal a concealed firearm under some conditions.

Disney tickets are linked to you via fingerprints = GOODBYE, no disney never again. and i used to go several times a year

Very good information Yoda. What are FL laws like in regards to staying in a Disney hotel? Does the firearm owner retain the rights most states extend to that of a renter in that case?
