CCW = Cautious arrests by police????

I saw the program but missed the comment. I was shocked to see the take downs, especially when the guy stands there with his hands up. The comment about ccw holders sounds like typical network spin. Although the takedowns were harsh, the guys are being charged with felonies, guilty or not, they have made it that far in the pursuit of a child for sex.

I'm with those who abhor pedophiles but question the manner in which the arrests were made. Totally unnecessary IMO. Arrests are made every day where its the standard, "Turn around and place your hands behind your back." I don't feel sorry for the perverts, but I don't like seeing cops taking liberties either.

Time for MEDIA CONTROL!

7 day waiting period for all newspapers, radio and television news. Police chief must approve all news stories. Governmental license to become a reporter. Register their computers subject to inspection at any time.

The First Amendment only applies to state-run media. Media control now, it's for the children.

These "Made for TV Comedies" are getting more and more outrageous.

I can remember back in the late 50s of the previous century, my grandfather who was in his 80s and mostly blind was absolutely convinced that the rasslin' matches he was watching were real. He just would not be moved.

Now to today.

Who amongst us here would agree to be a real cop and get called to do an arrest knowing full well that it would be televised so to make it really, really believable we would do a NFL tackle and pound.

Unbelievable.

The only thing left is to have the Donald walk up after the reading of the rights, look down at one of the cops, point, frown and say, "You're fired."

Unbelievable.

Kill your TV.

Yeah Grampster, I started a thread about this last night. Although, you did a much better job of stating how you feel about Matt's idiotic and slanted comment about Florida CCW laws.

I happened to see this segment as I was scanning the channels.

It looked to me like has shorts and t-shirt were too tight to hide any firearm.

I was watching that Dateline news show on television tonight. It was another one of those stories about them setting up a sting operation to catch Internet sex predators. I’m sure most of us have seen one or more of those types of shows lately. Dateline has done a series of them.
Anyway, the one tonight was in somewhere in Florida and as the perp, or whatever you call him was leaving the house, he was tackled by about 4 police officers. The newscaster explained that the police weren’t taking any chances because it’s so easy to get a "concealed gun permit" in Florida.

The police quickly take him down to the ground. In Florida, where it’s relatively easy to get a permit to carry a concealed weapon, the officers aren’t taking any chances.

Chief Daniels: The best thing to do as quickly as possibly was to get this person on the ground with their hands behind them in handcuffs, where we could make sure that if they had a weapon of any kind, no one was going to be hurt in the area.

He’s taken away in an unmarked police vehicle and brought to a transfer station. His car is searched, where there were some condoms found.
