Hello, The High Road posters!

I just wanted to pass this along to any Nebraskans, or Nebraska CCW "sympathizers". We have started up a forum at http://www.ccwne.com and are trying to inform the public & get organized. The NE unicameral will be holding a public hearing for LB 454 on March 17 in Lincoln. LB454 is the current attempt at getting CCW permits for Nebraskans.

Please stop by the CCW Nebraska forum, there is no registration required & we have tried to gather as much information as we can. If you feel you can add to the information, or would just like to discuss, please stop by!

Thanks! I have inlaws up in Oregon near grant's pass. They have an outstanding outdoor range facility close by. Great country.

Ouch, I like the idea of my home state getting CCW, but man, there's a huge number of exemtions.

I can understand: Police buildings, prisons, and courthouses. Places are allowed to say no, but have to mark it. Places prohibited by federal law.

Bad: Meetings of school boards? Public sporting events? Schools, etc? Common, they already have to be over 21 to carry. Bars? It says elsewhere that you can't be high/drunk while carrying.

The training requirement is a little too vague. And you have to file a report if discharge of your weapon hurts somebody or causes damage. :scrutiny:

But still, better than nothing.
