Hi, I'm headed to Tampa with my family today and we're going to go to the Florida Aquarium. Does anyone know if it is legal to carry there or if they wand as we go through? Thanks.

Last time I was there (10 years ago) they didn't wand anyone. I don't expect a place like that would have security on par with a federal court house, either. Might have a GFZ sign, but that's all I'd expect.

Last time I was at the aquarium was about a year and a half ago. There was no security or wanding or anything other then a ticket booth. I carried inside with no issues.

I honestly don't know if there's a sign since I generally don't look for one.

ETA: Try and be there when they feed the Otters. They're adorable.

I was there last summer and there was no wand or anyone looking for guns. And you better be armed in case you run into any killer whales. AAAHAAAHAHA! I crack myself up.

Noooo!!!!!!

Could you imagine getting into a gunfight in there?!
If the bad guy doesnt get you the sharks from the busted aquarium will!!!!
That is if you dont drown first!
:neener:

Would those plexiglass (or whatever they're made of) walls separating the tourists from the fish hold up if some nutcase suddenly emptied a magazine of 7.62x25 Tok into it?
I sure hope so!
