CCW: One gun or a "remuda"?

Have a P95 and a PF9 as clothing/situation allows. The P95 is decock only, so both are the "pull trigger go boom" variety. No fiddly safety levers or anything like that.

I tend to bounce around, especially if I've gotten a new gun. I might carry that for a while, then come back, but I freely admit that I sort of just carry what strikes my fancy that day.

The Remuda

I was watching an old Western on TV the other night. The trail boss told one of his hands to go cut a fellow a sorrel out of the remuda. I hadn't heard the word in years.

When it comes to concealed carry I usually carry a Sig P-239 in 9mm, with a S&W 4043 in the glove box. For a BUG it's a Ruger LCP in .380. In the fall and winter months it's a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan in .44 Mag.

I will cast my vote for the no manual safety guns and the similar manual of arms. Depending on the need for greater or less concealment, I'm carrying an xd 9 service or sub-compact. One is always in the supertuck while the other does back up duty in the man-bag. I go for simplicity and consistency when the chips are down!

G27RR- Your picture gives me hope to wake up each day to live long enough just so i can eventually obtain a collection like that.
Thanks for the compliment. I understand the budget issue. I am there now myself, but I was lucky to have a good couple years recently.

In a life or death situation simplicity is best. For me its a S&W 442 loaded with some Hornady JHP rounds. It serves as both my carry and nightstand gun.

Well, I have Three Rugers.
My favorite carry is an SP101, 5-shot .357 magnum. I've carried it every day, all day, the last 7 or 8 years.
I also have a 3" Ruger GP100, .357 magnum, that I have carried on occasion.
It's a heavier, 6-shot, a very comforting companion. I fire both of these .357's Double Action. I just line 'em up & squeeze the trigger.
The third weapon I carry, just around the house, is a Ruger LCR, .38 special DA only.
Although there is a difference in size, all 3 have the same manual of arms. I'm comfortable that way.

I use to carry a 1991A1 Colt Commander, probably for about 4 or 5 years. I kinda got tired of the weight. The SP101 is a bit lighter. Revolvers are a little simpler.

In theory it would be best to only carry one gun in order to reach the highest level of mastery. However, in reality you may need different guns for different tasks.

At the moment I've narrowed it down to my M&P45 for IWB (CC and HD) and my Kahr PM9 for pocket carry. If my M&P45 could fit in my pocket (or my glock 26) I would use only that gun.
