I’m looking for a CCW auto. Those you that have a Kahr PM9094A (9 Para) is this handgun a true pocket pistol? I’m debating between the Kahr and a KEL-TEC P-3AT (380). What I’m looking for is a pistol that I can put in my back pocket not in a holster on my side. I would whether have a 9 Para but I’m comfortable with the 380. I know all the scenario’s for a bigger bore and if your life depends on it go bigger etc. If I feel the need for a bigger bore I’ll go with Smith 4013 or my 1911 or if I know I'm going to a gun fight Ill take a rifle. I’m looking for a lightweight comfortable pistol to carry my back pocket.

Your thoughts please and please to remember to pray for our troops around the world.

You may get some argument on this, so I recommend you try putting each in your pocket and see what you think.

My opinion, FWIW, is that the Kahr just crosses the line in being too big for a pocket. The P-3AT, OTOH, will go anywhere a wallet goes, because the 3AT and a spare mag in a pocket holster are just about exactly the size and shape of my wallet.

Maybe with big pockets, the Kahr would fit. Big Docker pockets, maybe...

Well, the PM9 weighs about twice as much as the P3AT and it maybe 40 to 50% wider. What a pocket gun depends on how big your pockets are, you know? I mean, in the right cargo pants you could probably carry a couple Beretta 92s and four spare mags.

The P32/P3AT can be carried in a pocket and almost forgotten. I can't imagine forgetting that you have over a pound of metal banging around in one of your pockets.

Having said that, I would feel quite a bit more secure carrying a full 9mm than a 380 or a 32.

Here's some pics I took comparing my Covert to the P32. Keep in mind, the Covert has the same grip as the PM9 but has a .5' longer barrel and slide.
