CCW Question: What do you do with the handgun when you get in the car?

I as well drive a sports car with wrap around seats and the seatbelt tight, so drawing in the car is next to impossible but I always have my 1911 on my hip in my VM2, but it is there. My car is a manual so I really dont normally have a hand free to grab a gun with. I think I will get a small .38 special wheel gun for the car, its either that and/or I depend on the cars raw power to get me out of any situation.
