I've seen several questions in regard to the bargain basement Hi Powers at CDNN. These are 2 of them. One polished blue, one enamel. The lighter grips are also from CDNN. They have slight thumb rests and the checkering is sharp and nicely executed. No fitting required. I'm extremely pleased with both of these.

Sweet!

Have the mag safeties removed and you'll be amazed at how well those pistols shoot.

My Hi-Power came from CDNN. I bought it many many years ago and it is still my favorite 9mm. Hell, I sold off all my other 9mms and kept the Hi-Power.

To me, the HP is THE 9mm to have. Why people jack around with other 9mms is beyond me. The HP is the M1911 of the 9mm world.

Enjoy them!

See that cocked hammer and tiny grip tang? For many those are the hammer and anvil between which one's webbing between the index finger and thumb bleed. Getting bitten by BHP's everytime I have ever fired one has me "jacking around" with any other 9mm.

The CZ-75/85 is the BHP for people bitten one time too many by the FN pistol. :)

Luckily the hammers don't bite me. I removed one mag disconnect and have to do the other.
I had a CZ75 which I liked alot. If I had to choose one though, the HP is for me.

Those Hi-Powers are certainly beautiful. Nice score, getting one of each finish. I'm planning to make this my next purchase, provided CDNN still has them when my wife is done with her dining room project. :( I'm a 1911 guy, but I really want a HP while you can still get one NIB. Actually, I'd like to get two of the blued ones- one for me to customize a little bit, for carry/range, and another to keep in unused condition, for my 1yr old son, Lonas. If I could somehow manage sequential serial numbers, I would pee myself.

I like those CZ 75's a lot, and I definitely have to get a couple of those as well. They are very Hi-Power-like in look and shape, which is a very good thing, IMO. Luckily, CZ is not going to stop making these anytime soon, so it's not as dire a need as the HP's. It's still a pretty dire want, though.

That black enamel finish has a nice rugged look that is all its own.

I just ordered an FN Compact from them today. Can't wait to get my hands on that rascal.

The black grips on yours sure look nice.

Jonnyc, Both 511's, all Belgium - no Portugal markings, different importers. I prefer the markings on the polished. By the way, these pics do not do justice to the excellent polish done. It looks rather dull in the pic.

Link Please.

Can you get me a link to the cdnn web pages. I would like to order one of those bad boys!!!

Thx,

Dan...

You need to have Adobe Acrobat which is available there also. Right click on the link, choose "save target as" and direct it to a folder of your choice. 399+9 shipping. Best deal out there. I wish I could get more, but I'm done for a while... :( Brian sold me mine.

Both had fired cases from 2-03, so who knows. I got them 8 mos apart and they are within 500 or so ser.# wise within each other??

Great Pics!!! (Hope you don't mind, but your second pic just became my desktop) :D

I just received my CDNN Hi-Power (matte finish), and a DAO Hi-Power this afternoon. I can't wait to get them to the range. Both will have trigger work next week.

Because many people like to stipple the front straps of their HPs, and the original serial number got in the way. Practicals have been this way for some time.

Nero45acp, I was considering one of the DA FN's also. But I have too many 9's now. It should do well for you. Comes from good lineage you know. Did you get the wood grips for the HP? I may get another set, they're so nice...
