I have done several searches, and read many messages regarding the FN Hi-Power and similar guns, (FEG, etc.). I only saw this question addressed once, but without much detail.

How are the FN Hi-Power DA/SA guns that CDNN is selling for $340? I just sold a SIG P239, so the idea of a decocker appeals to me. How is the quality? What is the trigger like? Sure beats $620 for a new Mk III at the range. Thanks.

Hey

I have one of the FSA Hi Powers out by FN right now. I love it, once I put new pachmayrs on it. It outshoots my CZ85 and carries nicer.

Finish was good, quality was fantastic. Trigger a little, tiny tiny bit, rough. Will smooth with more rounds through it. Only about 400 right now.

The general scoop on them in this is just my opinion. I got a Compact version of the gun and actually loved the ergonomics, size, capacity, sights everything...it was accurate as hell.
The trigger is very hard to verbalize.
Its got great pull until the firing pin block kicks in...then it stacks through the ceiling. Thats my only bitch about the gun.
Shoot well

I have heard from others that the trigger smooths out after 500 rounds or so.

I have heard from the same people that it is a DA pull after all and it never gets light or target pistol like. There is not a lot you can do to prevent the stacking as that is the way it is engineered.

It is my next pistol. The size (of the compact) is just right and the feel is excellent.

I carefully stoned every surface I could...and frankly it did help...but still was WAY too much for my blood. The design as Colt Driver points out is very very bizarre ...especially coming from FN........even in SA...it still stacked. Try one if you can find one before you buy.
Others had said their triggers werent that bad........I have to wonder what they think a nice trigger is???????????????????

A gentleman was fiddling with mine and said...."well, thats not bad at all"....then he played with my PCR......"oh, I understand now!" :D

Shoot well
