If anyone is interested in some FN/BHP grips, I picked up a set of checkered Cocobolo grips for one of my Hi-Powers from CDNN, I am extrememly pleased with them. They look and feel like much more expensive wood panels than the 29.00 price tag. A bargain they are and, CDNN was a pleasure to deal with.

thankyou, marshall, for the info. I just picked up a shiny blue hi-power, and I was wondering if those grips were any good for the price!

I have those grips...they are pretty. Only 2 complaints

1) The checkering isn't cleaned up very well...e.g., lots of "wood burrs"
2) There is a slight thumb shelf and the "bump" to create it is right behind the mag release...right wwhere you don't want it because it allows less leverage on the release

I sent my grips back for that very reason. The bump made it very difficult for me to engage the mag release. They look nice, but I'll take function over appearance any time.

Mine have no burrs whatsoever and are finished very nicely!

I can use my thumb on the mag release with ease, drops free every time. I like the very slight thumb shelf too.

However, I did buy some K frame wood grips for 14.95 that came in with a rusted grip screw and the wood was dried out and chalky. I oiled them and they appeared new but I wasn't impressed with their condition upon arrival. Don't really like the feel of them either.
