CDNN Prices?

After the VA Tech shooting, they stopped listing their prices on-line. Kinda stupid if you ask me.

For some reason they print the prices in their catalog.

Looks like it would be easier to do away with the paper catalog and do everything on line and make price changes in real time.

Reason is likely pressure from Manufacturers who do not want the MSRP to look overpriced.

CDNN only gets guns to sell when somebody else can't sell them or goes belly up.

that and their inventory can be pretty dynamic. plus, just like electronics retailers, they don't want their prices to be used as negotiating tools at other stores. CDNN's prices are usually very good.

Once you buy something from CDNN, you are permanently on their mailing list. You will get their catalog in the mail until doomsday. The catalog has prices printed in it

No. CDNN took the gun prices off their website immediately after the VA Tech shooting because they were afraid of some type of backlash against on-line gun dealers. It made no sense then and it makes no sense now. It's nothing but a complete lack of customer service.

Forget CDNN. Bud's is the way to go.

p.s. You can still get the prices on-line. Someone here at THR scans the CDNN catalog every time a new one comes out and and posts a link to the images. Keep an eye out for it.

I suspect they more likely removed prices because posting them violated manufactures agreements and they were threatened with losing those manufacturers. It would be nice if you could just look at the prices but I've always found them pleasant to talk to and some times you learn about new deals that didn't make the catalog.

I had an odd CDNN experience - they would not provide me with a list of FFL holders from my state they had on file.

I have had great luck when buying spare magaziness, etc.

CDNN removed the prices from the catalog to protect dealers. They started out as a wholesaler who sold close outs, used buy back PD guns etc...

They only started selling guns direct in the past 6 years or so IIFC. They removed the pricing to help dealers whi buy there move the product. Only people on their mailing list get the prices althought they are published all over the web in one form or another.

CDNN can be a great source. I personally do not like Buds. Good for price comparison but Dereks take it or leave it sort of attitude leaves me cold.

I would say having their credit card processing company cancel their account and seize one month worth of credit card sales as some back lash. They did get the money back and found another CC company that was willing to do high risk processing. Of course the fees and % they charge CDNN reflect that.

As far as Citibank is concerned we online retailers are illegally selling guns to individual on the net and phone. They gave no option for us to dispute their claim. I removed fire arms from my web store also. The profit margin from new gun sales are not worth the hassle.

I'm pretty sure that they stopped publicly publishing their prices before the VT shooting, maybe as much as 6-12 mos. I don't see how a published price or not would have anything to do with the VT incident, if they are still selling guns.

Hmm, I checked Bud's on a couple of guns and they were WAY more.

I ordered 3 from CDNN a few months ago and they were very helpful on the phone and the guns were great, and MUCH cheaper than any alternatives.

The the P6 was essentially brand new on both the inside & outside...

From a business point of view I find this the most logical. In today's world lots of companies will gladly "beat" your price if you can give them something in writing to prove the point.
We see this in car sales. We get lots of INTERNET lookers who are just trying to use this as leverage when dealing with a local dealer. If they can get you on the phone and quote a price they have a better chance of getting the sale.
