Centerpoint Red Dot worth a look?

Why not. If my (and others) 20.00 Field Sport Red Dot and Reflex work / hold up well, the higher end 25.00 model should too. If not, toss it or give it to a Glock guy. :D

It could be great, or it could work for a month or so and crap out. I'd bet on the latter.

The least expensive red dot I'd try would be a Bushnell TRS-25.

I have one of those with the BSA brand on it. it works, but it only sees air rifle duty. I bought it years ago as it was in front of me at the store I was visiting and the price was cheap enough to try out.

That said, the two Bushnell TRS-25s I have get brighter which means they're better for outdoor shooting.

Forgot about my old BSA. Still functions well. Rather have a BSA 441 Victor.
Things sure have come a long way in the last decade. The current low end has so much better offerings available than we did back then. I remember buying a couple crappy BSA 30mm red dots from Sportsmans Guide about 15 years ago, they were like $30 each and never did hold a zero.
