Definately a good time.
Thank you Deker for letting me shoot that Dan Wesson. I was impressed with their 1911s when they first came out and all I did was handle it at the Gun Rack, after shooting yours I am now extremely impressed.
Thanks Anapex for letting me shoot that Walther P99. Definately the P99 or the SW99 are on my list of wants.
Spot, thanks for letting me shoot the CZ40B again. Great gun, lighter than I remember, really fits the hand well and accurate. I may have to start shopping around for another one (well, once I'm working again).
Norton, the red dot sight on the Hi Point Carbine really does make it a new gun. With the higher sight putting my cheek higher on the stock it didn't hit me in the face anymore and made it much more fun to shoot.
A great time was had talking, shooting, and getting to try guns other than what I brought. I hope you guys enjoyed shooting the PT140 M. Pro and the .45LC Winchester 94 as much as I enjoyed shooting your guns. It was really nice to shoot my CZ 75B, I haven't been shooting it much lately (in addition to only making it to the range about once a month of late, I usually have been bringing other options). Of course, another 100 rounds out of my PT140 was a blast as well. The only real trouble was once or twice with the 94- .45LC doesn't have much rim so if you don't work the lever with the right amount of force there can be some feeding and ejection problems (only twice though).
I'm looking forward to the non-shooting get together. Some talk of a picnic at a really nice park in Annapolis (Clear Water- boating, possible fishing, really nice picnic areas, and of course a playground for the kiddies).
Girlwithgun was talking about trying to do a monthly shoot at On Target, if we try to do that I'll do my best to make it each time. It would be a good excuse to get out and do some more shooting.
