With Century AKs, you have to be aware that there is a decent chance you are going to have to send it back for warranty work. Ive had four and all four worked perfectly, but others have had problems. The most common problem is pretty easily fixed yourself, and that is the canted sight base.

For the money, Century AKs cant be beat. Saigas are damn fine and not as problematic, but they are in hunting rifle configuration.

This site is all about the Century guns(they are mostly Romanian) http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/

You should ask a better question.

Century imports AKs and contracts AKs built from kits. Both can have their own 'idiosyncrasies' and I personally think it's unfair to lump in their kit built (by outside contractors [ no angry beavers ]) AKs in with the WASRs...

Their US made AKs (from kits) have new barrels and are a lot nicer than any WASR.

I've had a SAR2 from Century, and still have my SAR1. They're a little higher end than the WASRs but they're close. Mine have been 100% excellent AKs IMO. The newer yugo underfolders Century has are supposedly very nice, the ones I've handled briefly at shows definitely seemed pretty darn nice.

Any firearm from Century is suspect at best. Especially if they had anything to do with its assembly. They have no concept of what QC is about.
