I own one. Buying a Cetme from CAI is really a crap shoot. You may end up with good one that functions flawlessly. You may end up with a gun that was put together by a half-blind, fumble-fingered monkey on crack.
The one I own looked good, but had one flaw. Every time I shot it, the end of the recoil spring rod would hang up on the end of the recoil spring housing and lock the action to the rear. On the "real" Cetmes (as opposed to the parts kits attached to a US made receiver, which is what the CAI Cetmes are), the end of the recoil spring housing is square, and the end of the recoil spring rod was tapered so it would ride back into the housing when fired. On my CAI Cetme, both were square. The fix was as easy as taking out an RCBS case deburring tool and using it to taper the inside of the spring housing so that the square guide rod would slide back down into the housing.
Do not be surprised if you have to do a bunch of fiddle-futzing around to get it to function properly. Some guys find so many problems that they send them back to be replaced by one that hopefully works.
That being said, since I got mine functioning flawlessly, it's been a whole hell of a lot of fun to shoot.
