CFE Pistol 230 gr plated 45 ACP Load data

I have the load data off of Hodgdon site. I have RN plated 230 gr...any idea where to start? I have been using this powder in .40 with great sucess..

Plated bullets use the LRN cast bullet data on Hodgdon's site.

With the velocity of the 45 ACP, 230 grain doesn't get over 950 fps....use the jacketed data.

I've found that in 40 S&W, it like the upper end of the charge weight.

I've only been using this powder for about 3 month's now, but I've really come to like it.

The projectiles I am using are The Hunting Shack .451 plated rn... does this matter ?

No, plated bullets are good to 1250 fps.

just use 230gr jacketed data and you are good to go. with proper load data, you will never get a 230gr 45 anywhere near the max velocity limit of plated bullets.

please see what your bullet mfg(ex: berry's) has to say. It is _not_, for berry's, correct to "just use lead data".
