I'm in the middle of outfitting my SP01/manual safety with the Standard Package from CGW. I've got everything figured out and am also taking the time to lightly polish a few things as I go, but I have one major question.

They provide several spring options for a few spots in the gun. I plan to use the 13# blue hammer spring instead of the lighter 11.5# spring as my gun is used for range and HD duty, so I don't want the trigger pull to be overly light.

My question is which firing pin plunger spring to use? The narrower one that fits the hole is labeled "heavy duty" and I sort of assume that it would go with the heavier hammer spring; however perhaps the lighter one would work better, but it doesn't fit into the hole on the plunger the way the former does.

Any help appreciated. I have scoured CGW's instructions but not found a reference.

The fpb safety plunger spring should be lighter than the factory, but the diameter will be the same.

If you are referring to the firing pin spring, you can only add the CGW spring.

If it's the firing pin block spring, it's purely preference as it changes the SA pull weight.
So I just bought a P01 for carry and installed the pro package. It wears the extra heavy spring, it's silver in color.

CGW sells 3 different fpb springs.
Light, heavy and x-heavy.

Find a pin punch that fits the roll pin hole. That way you can test out the various spring rates without driving the roll pin in and out.

The CGW fbp springs are bigger in width for a reason. You might need a slight twisting motion as you push down.

I used the 13 lb hammer spring in all of my converted CZ’s, along with the enhanced firing pin and the lighter weight firing pin spring.
I also used the lighter firing pin block and trigger return springs, which came in the kit.

The combo really reduces the trigger pull in both SA and DA from the factory numbers. The following is representative of the improvement seen over factory numbers. (CZ75 D compact shown)

Even with the reduced power hammer springs, I truly believe the longer firing pin has kept primer ignition at 100% since the swap across the spectrum of my CZ’s.

Stay safe.
