As can be deduced by my join date, I am more of a lurker than a poster. And I really appreciate the knowledge on THR, so I am looking for a little wisdom tonight.

I have a nice blued shooter grade 4" Python that is a joy to shoot. Nice tight groups at 25 yards with 3.4 grains of Bullseye and 158 grain LSW. It's fair to say it can shoot much better than I can.

Now here's the rub: A fellow at our shooting club has offered me a 2.5" Nickel Python LNIB with papers and a 6" LNIB with papers for $2,800 for both. I'm kind of on the fence about them as I am not seeing much selling on GB these days. I paid $1,125 for my shooter, so $1400 each for these two seems like a good value.

What do you guys think? A decent investment?

At that price, you better take advantage of your opportunity. They are awesome shooters, I swear the most accurate handgun I own.
If you get them at that price range you could carry that 2.5 incher, and not feel guilty.
BBQ gun.

Thanks, all you guys.
I have made a deal with the owner. He is out of town until late next month, and we will consummate the deal when he returns. The best part is he is independently wealthy and does not need the money. He knows about what they are selling for but wants them to go to a good home.

You are indeed blessed to have such a benevolent and generous acquaintance that he would sell you those two Pythons at that price. Enjoy your very good fortune and please post photos once you get them.
