Derek, is there an other side to this story?

If not, something tells me we'll be banned soon or the thread locked.

I agree. Oleg has usually be a great person on this forum. What is your side of the story? If you have a good, legitimate side, I wish you luck in court. If its anything less than honest, I fear you are in deep doo-doo... as its going to REAL world court.

Not to put my tinfoil hat on too soon, but database issues with a politically incorrect forum and unresponsiveness of the site administrator does sound fishy, doesn't it? I'm sure that so many of us talking about possible civil disobedience and opposition to the government has set off at least a few red flags at the .gov. Now I'm wondering what's really going on with Derek.

Oleg and Derek have a disagreement going. Regardless of how it's all being handled, it doesn't affect THR insofar as the operation of this website.

    Heller is still operative.

You shoot Bambi in the white spot, you don't have to track him.

PETA hasn't gone into the ranching bidness.

    Obama/Biden aren't pro-gun.

    A hit with a .380ACP beats a miss with a .44 Maggie.

Courtesy and politeness keep my Grammaw off your butt.

And the sun will rise in the morning. Guaranteed.

Still leaves a bad taste in one's mouth tho'. The site has certainly changed from when we were just a friendly group of TFL refugees.

As obvious to everyone, I'm fairly new to THR. But I'm not new to these kinds of forums. I have varied interests...politics, firearms, motorsports, computers, sometimes even online gaming. One thing I've found to be a universal pattern...with these online forums such as this, the more control over the content and discussions that the mods try to exert over the members, the more juvenile the mods are. I have to say, I am not completely surprised something like this has happened.

No personal attacks as one agrees to upon registering to become a member of THR.

    Art forgot:

-Yes you can miss with all them shotgun pellets.

-Bird, Belly, Beak, Bang is how one hits a flying target with a shotgun.

-Everyone should have a .22 to use to introduce a new shooter.

-One of the neatest things in life is a little girl, with grape bubblegum breath and shooting her Pink Cricket.

Some tin cans just need killin' , ain't that right Uncle 'teve?

The purpose of the proposed endowment was to give me more time to do two things:

    1. Run THR
    2. Create pro-RKBA work full time

The sponsor would have also given us print ads for thr.org, hosting and tech support.

I won't say anything more now. However, you can research this handily on your own:

    http://technorati.com/blogs/olegvolk.livejournal.com?reactions

    http://www.google.com/search?num=10...&q=Oleg+Volk+thehighroad&as_qdr=w&btnG=Search

PS: The moderators who objected most to this mess have been removed by Derek. The rest are working to provide THR as usual out of respect for the forum members. Also, my "administrator" status allows me to read staff forum. It has no real administrative functionality.

Oleg, good to see that you still have access to the board at least. I've always appreciated the work you've done, on this board and off. I have to say that removing mods seems a bit JBTish, not at all in the spirit of how this board was started, but maybe it's not the same board anymore.:(
