Following some of the logic I've seen, it seems that some would consider it permissible for a landlord to take control of a tenant's property - or of a renting business.

Ain't gonna happen. Some lawyers are going to be the only people who will really benefit.

I think we've gone from a situation where everyone could be happy, to a situation where there's a great deal of ill will - one which will adversely affect the culture, and hence the overall marketability, of the site. I suppose the time where we could duct tape everyone involved together until they quit thrashing around is past.

maybe its just me, but I think the personal attacks are out of line. There is always hope that cooler heads will prevail, and that the right thing will be done.
Calling names, like we did back in the third grade, is not helpful.

Personal attacks are indeed out of line. Look, all the discussion about this here can only generate more heat than light. If you're the praying type, pray for the best potential resolution to this issue. If you're not the praying type, do something productive- write a senator or congressman, take your dog or children for a walk in the park, enjoy the sunset.

Let the fighting go. There is nothing positive that can come from leaving this open. Why don't we all agree that we want to preserve the best things about THR- the sense of community, of shared purpose, of learning and intelligent discourse- and leave the wrangling to the lawyers.
