Great little scale, I've got several. Why do you say? Because they die. Not completely, they just stop functioning and give a numeric error code like 002008. So you buy another one and after a year or so it does the same thing. Rinse and repeat. Great scales, just not robust.

WARNING - THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

So having had several of the 750's give up the error codes and cease to function I got frustrated (not to mention tired of buying new scales - why not send in the old ones for repair? Sheer laziness) and pulled the oldest one from its box (been sitting for at least 1 year and was purchased over 5 years ago) and with bated breath took it apart. Not that I'm an electronics tech but I was curious what was inside.

Apart form a circuit board there isn't much to see, but there is a tiny little switch. So I switched it from one position to the other, and then back again. Buttoned up the unit, plugged it in and Voila! it worked. Calibrated itself and has consistently returned the correct weight for items of known weight. Will it last? Dunno. Will this help anyone, maybe.
